Week 19: June 15 - 21 (Mango)

I am so close to seeing my baby it's driving me crazy! Next week is the big appointment - Level 2 Ultrasound. This week I got to go back to the OB. After waiting FOREVER (on a workday morning) I got to hear the heartbeat and everything measured right on track. I realized I've been anxious, whiny, and depressed lately and apparently that is what hormones can do to you. I guess like pills, there are happy pills and sad pills - not that I know from experience! In any case, I think that's how hormones operate. It's OK, I also think it could be attributed to needing a vacation. This past weekend we went to Savannah with our friends Michelle and Ami. It was nice to get away and spend time with friends. It was a quick trip - got there Saturday and left Sunday and then went straight to Marietta to see mom and dad on Sunday because of Father's Day. We got to eat yummy food in Savannah, tour the historic district, take a ghost trolley tour, and just relax. The only complaint I had was the 100+ degrees (with the heat index). During our tour of Savannah in the height of afternoon heat, we walked into a grocery store and they had a walk-in beer freezer. I literally stood there for 10 minutes. I was so happy. The heat thing is pretty weird. It makes me feel nauseous too because my electrolytes are off and I just feel gross. Other things to note this week is that work has really picked up. I'm assigned to all these new projects and the good thing is it makes the day go by so fast. Bad thing is I'm so tired, that exercising just isn't happening. Is it crazy that all I can think about for Mexico is eating, reading books, pool, and walking? Yes - who works out for fun? I just figured I'll have the time, so why not.
