Week 10: April 13 - 19 (Lime)
I jumped the gun. The nausea and vomiting are back. Not to the same extent, but ending each night with Rolaids is not ideal. This week I'm looking better (which in my head always means I must be feeling better); however, I don't know if its me being sensitive, but I feel as if people are looking at me funny. My breasts have gone up a cup size, and I was pretty well endowed to begin with. At work, people are looking at me funny - maybe because my clothes are poofing a little at the stomach? In any case, I decided this week, I plan on disclosing to work about my lil sit-u-ation by week 16 (if I can make it that long without showing). I went to the library this week and got some great pregnancy books. The one I'm reading right now is called "Balancing Pregnancy & Work." So far its been a pretty easy read and provides a wealth of knowledge in regards to legal rights, laws to protect pregnant women at work, and also how to deal with symptoms, your transition on leaving and coming back. I am astounded by the number of people who've asked me so far if I'm going back to work. My response is "Of course, what else would I do?" I didn't pay for my MBA program or become one of the youngest Managers at a Big 4 Consulting Company just because I like Banana Republic's business clothing line. I really think as women we are so fortunate, more then ever, to have the resources at our finger tip to raise a well adjusted, bright, confident child in a phenomenal schooling facility and keep your career. I can't stand those haters who say you can't do both. They clearly don't have the means to do both. Regardless of whatever choice you make in life, its criticla to stick with it and do the best you can in that role. After all, who am I to judge what choice you make? All I ask is don't judge me. On a fun note, I started receiving my Parenting magazine and have found the entire read fascinating. I even love looking at the ad's since this is my first exposure to baby products. I love it. There are so many great things out there, and learning has been my theme for this week. It's also nice to have some decisions on how to handle le bebe and le career.

Your posts crack me up. You'll feel better soon! I find that keeping something in my stomach at ALL times helps a lot. And milk. I drink lots of it. I'm so glad to hear you have a pouf too. I was pretty sure mine was from the cheese curls and donuts.
