Week 14: May 11 - 17 (Navel Orange)
OMG Motherhood is making me a nice person. I recently re-read all my blog posts from the beginning to now, and I'm so much nicer as the weeks go on. Last week, I let two people cut in front of me in traffic and I offered this family an extra Sweet Tomato's coupon I happened to have. Is it hormones? Or is this permanent? I guess the world should enjoy it while it lasts :) This week's highlight was telling my client at work about the baby. He was so happy and so supportive (I really want to talk to these people who wrote about their work horror stories!). He also shared some other great news with me, so we'll see where all that goes. It's just happy times. The weekend was spent in Asheville. I love traveling with my husband and the weekend was just so well planned out by my company. I was a trooper and even participated in the Friday night activitiy (i.e. The Amazing Race). Yep, running around Asheville in thunder and lightning picking up 6 clues to see which team could win. They did give permission to the pregnant and injured to sit out, but I was feeling good. I was pooped afterwards. Then Saturday we went to the spa for a facial for me (with a bonus mani/pedi my sweet coworker Lyschelle gave me since we had an extra one already paid for). Yoel got a massage and it was divine! I love being spoiled within reason. We had a lovely lunch and lovlier dinner with my coworkers. Yoel and I even danced and stayed out late. Pregnant, smegnant...it's no excuse for laziness and complaining! I'm enjoying every minute of it - the good and the bad. Sunday we stopped by the outlets and I did more, yep, you guessed it - maternity clothes shopping! I'm going to be a cute momma-to-be, not a frumpy mcfrumdump.
